Anke Landeau: Biography

Anke was born in Berlin , Germany. Her show business career took off when she married the impresario Cecil Landeau, who had earlier discovered Audrey Hepburn.

She trained as an actress and later added singing to her talents, performing internationally and in several different languages. Anke delivers soul-tinged interpretations of classic Standards, blues-rock plus original songs from her album ' Loving you .'

Her show also includes ' Marlene lives on ' which has proved very popular with audiences as she has an amazing stage presence similar to Marlene Dietrich's own. She gives an almost spiritual impression of the Diva.

She has entertained royalty, notably Prince William and the Duke of Kent, and the celebrities Kate Moss, Boy George, Jude Law, Leonardo Di Caprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lennox Lewis to name but a few. She has performed at many star studded charity shows, one highlight being her performance for Elton John's Aids Foundation Ball.
